$Merangin-Jambi Geopark is a geopark with a management concept that harmonizes geological, biological, and cultural diversity, through the principles of conservation, education, and sustainable development in the integrated area of Merangin Regency, Jambi Province, Indonesia. The Merangin-Jambi Geopark has been confirmed through the UNESCO Session on May 24, 2023 in Paris, France, with the status of UNESCO Global Geopark. The Mount Masurai complex with volcanic tectonic phenomena causes the formation of several landscapes such as lakes, waterfalls, columnar fractures and geothermal manifestations that still continue to this day. This complex is also home to rare and protected flora and fauna and contains the history of previous civilizations. All of these geological uniquenesses are in one area that can be found in the Merangin Jambi Geopark area with an area of 4,832.31 kmÂ² consisting of 12 Districts in Merangin Regency, with a total of 131 Villages Sub-districts$
