an evergreen shrub up to 3-4 m tall with oblong-lanceolate or rhombic dark green leaves. yellowish flowers with a pleasant honey aroma. it blooms in may and june. essential oils of flowers are widely used in perfumery, cosmetics and tea flavoring.
